METALCOTE 112 – LUBRICANT FOR CASTING DIES AND COMPONENTS

Metalcote 112 is a lubricant, based on semi-colloidal graphite, suspended in water, for casting dies and components such as pins, cores, slides or other moving parts. The product has good heat conductivity and lubricating properties giving maximum protection and lubrication to the die and its mechanisms.

The diluted product can be used in a container to dip die cores, cooling them during operation and depositing a thin layer of release and lubricating agent on the surface.

The product is sensitive to frost. Store at a temperature above 5°C and close the package after each withdrawal. It is possible that some products containing mineral ingredients may tend to precipitate during storage. This phenomenon is absolutely normal due to the specific density of the minerals themselves. It is important to mix the product carefully before use. If stored properly the product has a shelf life exceeding 12 months.
