CRYSTAL 2007/M – FLUX FOR SODIUM ADDITION

Crystal 2007/M is a high quality flux, in granular form, for sodium addition into Al-Si alloys with silicon content ranging between 7-13%. Modification treatment alters the silicon structure of the alloy and improves castings mechanical properties.

The silicon structure changes from coarse, angular, acicular crystals into fine, rounded, interconnected fibrous particles, perfectly distributed in the aluminium matrix.

The main advantage is a considerable improvement of tensile strength and elongation characteristics. Crystal 2007/M is recommended for the modification treatments of Al-Si alloys casted at temperatures between 740-780°C.

The product is hygroscopic. Store in a dry storage and close the package after each use. If the product is stored in a dry place away from sunlight, the product does not expire.
