To guarantee the quality of the castings, the finest and most uniform silicon structure is needed.
For the formation of fine-grained silicon crystals in the solidification core, aluminum phosphide (AlP) is the most effective known substance.
The AlCuP phosphor rod is complete with aluminum phosphides. AlCuP ensures the reduction of the silicon grain size to less than 40 μm. The exceptional refining effect, persistent for at least two hours, can be verified with thermoanalysis.
The aluminum phosphides in AlCuP become active immediately after melting the rod.
This fact makes AlCuP an emission-free refining method that shows high effectiveness, with significantly reduced phosphorus content. Even small quantities are sufficient to obtain a fine and uniform silicon structure.
Unlike other methods of adding phosphorus, AlCuP also allows significantly lower dosages with extremely reduced use of phosphorus.
