Eutectic and hypereutectic Al-Si alloys can also contain these elements.<\/p>\n<p>In eutectic alloys, Calcium can influence the effectiveness of modification treatments with sodium fluxes or with metallic sodium. Calcium can also negatively affect the absorption of gas in the liquid metal.<\/p>\n<p>Crystal X-010 contains magnesium which reacts with calcium and sodium, both soluble in the liquid metal. The byproducts of the reaction are insoluble in the liquid metal and have low weight.
