CRYSTAL 2012\/M \u2013 MODIFYING FLUX IN GRANULAR FORM<\/h4>\n

Crystal 2012\/M<\/strong> is a modifying flux, in granular form, suitable for metallurgical treatment (sodium based) of hypoeutectic and eutectic Al-Si alloys (Si 6-13%) in crucible furnaces or ladles.<\/strong>
\nModification treatment alters the silicon structure of the alloy and improves castings mechanical properties.<\/p>\n

The structure of silicon changes from coarse and angular, with acicular crystals, to fine, with interconnected, rounded and perfectly distributed fibrous particles in the aluminum matrix.<\/p>\n

The main advantage is the notable improvement in the mechanical characteristics of tensile strength and elongation.
\nCrystal 2012\/M flux is recommended for modification treatments of Al-Si alloys cast at low temperatures, between 700 and 730\u00b0C.
