Riduxal 9 is recommended when is necessary to reduce the content of aluminium in brass, gunmetal and phosphor bronze.
The presence of aluminium affects alloy’s ductility and tensile strength, even if the content is lower than 0.01%.

Riduxal 9 has a very low melting point and produces a fluid slag capable to absorb aluminium.
The removal of aluminium and aluminium oxides contributes to produ­ce castings with lower porosity, with higher tensile strength and reduces problems of leakage under pres­sure. When the alloy contains aluminium in quantities above 0.5% it is essential to add in the bath a sufficient quantity of aluminium free metal in order to bring the aluminium content below 0.5%.

25 kg paper bags laminated with polythene, moisture resistant, heat sealed at the base.

Warnings

The product is hygroscopic. Store in a dry storage and away from heat sources. Close the package after each use. If stored properly the product has a shelf life exceeding 12 months.
