Cuprotex 1457 is a covering and deoxidizing powdered flux for brass and commercial copper. It produces protective fluid dross over the molten metal surface that can be easily removed before pouring. The flux is suitable for induction furnaces.

Cuprotex 1457 is recommended for re-melting scraps, swarfs and foundry returns. It can be also used as a drossing-off flux in gravity or pressure die casting foundries melting brass.

Packaging and storage

25 kg paper bag laminated with polythene, moisture resistant, heat sealed at the base.

Warnings

The product is hygroscopic. Store in a dry storage and close the package after each use. If the product is stored in a dry place away from sunlight, the product does not expire.
