Crystal 2007/M is a high quality flux, in granular form, for sodium addition into Al-Si alloys with silicon content ranging between 7-13%. Modification treatment alters the silicon structure of the alloy and improves castings mechanical properties. The silicon structure changes from coarse, angular, acicular crystals into fine, rounded, interconnected fibrous particles, perfectly distributed in the aluminium matrix. The main advantage is a considerable improvement of tensile strength and elongation characteristics.

Crystal 2007/M is recommended for the modification treatments of Al-Si alloys casted at temperatures between 740-780°C.

Packaging and storage

25 kg paper bag laminated with polythene, moisture resistant, heat sealed at the base.

Warnings

The product is hygroscopic. Store in a dry storage and away from heat sources. Close the package after each use. If stored properly the product has a shelf life exceeding 12 months.
