Metalcote 27 is a medium insulating dressing widely used in aluminium gravity die-casting foundries. The product is especially developed for application on critical die areas where maximum flowability of molten aluminium is required. These areas such as mold cavity, runners, feeders and gates must be protected with Metalcote 27, a rough coating offering long service life, strong adhesivity and good resistance to molten metal abrasion.

Warnings

The product is frost sensitive: Store at temperatures above 5 ° C and close the pails after use. It is possible that during storage some products containing mineral ingredients tend to precipitate. This phenomenon is absolutely normal due to the specific density of the minerals. It is important to mix the product carefully before use. If properly stored the product shelf life exceeds 12 months.
